Angie Vorhies is a poet, documentarian, and co-founder of San Diego Roots, a non-profit dedicated to educating, empowering, and cultivating sustainable local food communities. Her poetry has appeared in Broadsided, Poetry International, Orion Magazine, Hunger Mountain, and Notre Dame Review. 
 

She is currently working on an anthology of ecopoetry centered in the California bioregion and welcomes collaboration with other poets, writers, naturalists, and artists. Her favorite beings, besides her three daughters, are Red-tailed Hawks and Coast Live Oaks.
